Mustard Chow Chow

 
 


2 qts cucumbers (cut fine)
2 qts onions (put through chopper)
1 large Cauliflower (cut fine)
5 0r 6 green peppers (put through chopper)

Cut cucumbers, cauliflower & peppers & pour a hot brine over them,
Cover & Let stand over night.

Cut onions then heat sauce & then let them stand over night separately
Drain

Add
8 cups brown sugar,
1/2 gal cider vinegar,
1/4 lbs mustard seed,
1/2 oz celery seed


Let come to a boil

& have ready a paste of

3 cups flour,
2/3 of a 1/4 lb can mustard,
1/2 oz tumeric

Put this in slowly & stir & keep from sticking.

Do not fill the ? long after adding paste as it will turn green.
